1961 Commer PA "Maidstone" 4 Berth Caravanette

Very rare and very early Commer Maidstone Caravanette. 1498cc 4 speed. Only 3 owners from new with service history going back to 1962 and old Mot certificates. The camper has covered 93500 miles and is in very good mostly original condition. The camper will come with 12 months Mot and is of course Tax Exempt. There is minimal filler in the bodywork and it is confined to the roof peak area, the front valance and the drivers door where a dent has been repaired. All the usual Commer rust areas are amazingly good as you can see from the pictures, the paintwork is not brilliant though and would certainly benefit from a lower half respray. The interior is immaculate and has still has all its original fixtures and fittings including 2 burner hob and grill, sink with water pump and original Jerry cans, 2 x wardrobes, 2x hammocks, gas light, overhead side storage lockers, storage cupboards behind drivers seats. All the seats including the 3 front seats were professionaly recovered many years ago and are still perfect. The van drives very well.......for a 50 year old Commer! and is sure to give years of service and enjoyment to the new owner and of course it is an appreciating asset.
